THE POWER OF EXPERIMENT is the "Nordic Satellite" 
at the 4th Lisbon Architecture Triennale.

The proposals and methods from Nordic Schools 
approach contemporary problematic with defined criteria, 
critical eyes and creativity - shifting from attainment of 
competences and static knowledge to privileging 
processes and experimental based learning. 

THE POWER OF EXPERIMENT aims at exploring 
strategies for collaborative learning and practice, 
working through collective conceptualization and 
action, with and around the 3 main vectors: 
Formulate, Formalize, Perform. 

The workshop tested the possibilities of such 
collaborative strategies and methods through a 
speculative and performative building experiment. 
This experiment was centered on expanded notions 
of thinking/ designing/ building to produce a common 
space, which does not focus on the ability of architecture 
to reproduce, represent or serve a certain use, but on 
the performative power of building. 

THE POWER OF EXPERIMENT exhibition is using 
part of the outcome of the workshop: content is aiming 
to deconstruct our preconceived ideas about the roles 
of the architect and architecture, and expand our 
awareness of other ways of practicing architecture 
in relationship with various political, environmental 
and economical constraints and agendas.
