Se se revestem de uma temática ou não, de um aprofundamento às suas próprias raízes e curiosidades batidas a compasso oriental profundo, será um debate a fazer na pista e a testar continuamente na boa sucessão de encontros, mesclas dançáveis e revelações ao ouvido. Mas sem dúvida que ele nos oferece, de bom grado, um passaporte com carimbo para os espectros do mais complexo e do mais rico, cultural e musicalmente. E assim nos traz Disco Halal: assente nas fundações da Terra Sagrada, label que transcende mapas e rótulos do novo século perdido, fazendo ecoar memórias de um Médio Oriente pulsante, hipnótico, esculpidas pela vivência europeia dançada e pela integração e inspiração ocidental de que Berlim é estandarte. Essa mesma Berlim, meca electrónica, que nos chama a voz alta e volume subido, e que acolheu desde Tel Aviv Moscoman - o cabeça da editora, com casa plantada na loja de discos OYE Records. Moscoman dança-se, sua-se, rocka-se. Cruzando influências do punk rock à dance music, deixa assinar a sua sonoridade enquanto produtor e DJ com elementos de new wave, techno e house, justapostos a remeninscências de uma Tel Aviv profunda e de um Médio Oriente rico, cultor de uma cena underground autêntica e naturalemente atraente pelas paisagens sonoras transculturais que se vão colorindo na pista. Na sua intensidade cativou alianças com nomes como Red Axes (a ouvir o fruto desta amizade num Boiler Room que aqueceu o verão de 2016) ou Lovefingers e a sua ESP Institute, pela qual lançou este ano o seu primeiro álbum 'A Shot In The Light', após incursões desde 2013 pela I’m a Cliché, Record Makers ou Relish Records. E como aliado e “irmão”, com Mosco vem também Nadav Speigel, mais conhecido como Autarkic, também da família Disco Halal. This month, the invitation was extended to a delegation of representatives from Disco Halal: a record label based on the foundations of the Promised Land, transcending the borders and headlines of the modern age, echoing memories of an inspiring and hypnotic Middle East tempered by contagious western experiences and the incredible integration that Berlin provides to those who seek to make a home for themselves there. This Berlin, the electronic mecca that draws you towards dance music through rising volume, welcomed Moscoman - the head of the label, originally from Tel Aviv and now making his home at OYE Records Store. Moscoman makes you dance one moment and rock hard the next. Crossing influences from punk to disco, his signature sound is infused with elements of new wave, techno and house juxtaposed with nostalgic moments that transport you to distant soundscapes. You can frequently find him collaborating with other like minded producers such as Red Axes (you hear the result of their cross pollination on a Boiler Room set that caused the summer of 2016 to get even hotter) or Lovefingers. His latest release is his debut album 'A Shot In The Light’ on ESP Institute. Accompanying Mosco to Lisbon, is ally and “brother” Nadav Spiegel (AKA Autarkic) one of the most prominent members of the Disco Halal family. Autarkic is a producer and composer from Tel Aviv, a fact you can certainly hear in his unique approach to electronic music, which he constantly challenges with his words, voice and original melodies. His sound goes beyond your typical clubbing affair, adding something to live sets that we’re not accustomed to seeing: a redesigned experience combining sampler, synths, drum machines and voice, weaving a tale as memorable as any great voyage or story.
