english version below -- A 3ª edição do PortugalSLAM - Festival Internacional de Poesia e Performance decorre de 7 a 15 de Outubro de 2016 na Casa dos Amigos do Minho, Casa da América Latina, Universidade Lusófona, Museu de Lisboa, Livraria Ler Devagar, escrever escrever, LARGO Residências e Agrupamento Escolar nº4 de Évora (EB Conde de Vialva). O PortugalSLAM é uma iniciativa inovadora promovida pela associação cultural Pantalassa. O Festival volta a afirmar-se como uma referência no território da criação poética contemporânea e transdisciplinar, apresentando propostas inéditas da representação da poesia no cruzamento com outras artes. O tema do festival este ano é Linguagem: Fronteiras e Encontros, uma vez que a linguagem, mais do que uma ferramenta de comunicação, é uma capacidade humana de traduzir ideias, imagens e emoções em conceitos. Nesta edição iremos trabalhar sobre esses conceitos, seja através da palavra, da música, do desenho ou do vídeo, e tentar compreender de que forma é que esses elementos criam fronteiras entre si - a poesia do outro - e/ou encontros e sinergias entre os artistas. A programação inclui a participação de convidados nacionais e internacionais, a Final Nacional de Poetry Slam com poetas de todo o país, residências, debates e uma forte componente de formação com workshops e masterclasses destinados a público especializado e ao grande público, bem como instalações e exposições que expandem o Festival pela cidade. Até breve -- The 3rd edition of PortugalSLAM - International Poetry and Performance Festival will take place between the 7th and the 15th of October 2016 at Casa dos Amigos do Minho, Casa da América Latina, Universidade Lusófona, Museu de Lisboa, Livraria Ler Devagar, escrever escrever, LARGO Residências e Agrupamento Escolar nº4 de Évora (EB Conde de Vialva). PortugalSLAM is an innovative initiative promoted by the cultural association Pantalassa. The Festival returns to assert itself as a reference in the field of contemporary and transdisciplinary poetic creation, presenting unexplored formulas of Poetry representation and its intersection with other art forms. The theme of this year "Language: Barriers and Bridges" is so much more than a communication tool; it is a human ability to translate ideas, images and emotional concepts. In this edition we will work on these concepts (through word, music, drawing or video) and try to understand how we create the barriers within these elements - the poetry of the other - and / or bridges and synergies between artists. The program includes several attractions: the participation of national and international guests; the National Finals of Poetry Slam with poets from all over the country; residences; debates and a strong component of training with workshops and master classes aimed at both specialized and general audience; and also installations and exhibitions that will expand the Festival throughout the city of Lisbon.
