Panorama crítico das representações cinematográficas do sexo, do período silencioso às experimentações estéticas em torno do corpo e do desejo nas vanguardas artísticas e no cinema underground. A masterclass provoca o sentido político do obsceno na história do cinema, desde as pioneiras cenas de nudez e beijos no “cinema de atrações”, passando pela pornografia no início do século XX (os stag films) e pelas imagens codificadas do sexo no cinema experimental. O principal objetivo é revelar o arquivo histórico deste “primeiro cinema”, em filmes pornográficos transgressores, questionando reflexões sobre erotismo, pornografia e obscenidade.

Critical overview of cinematographic representations of sex from the silent period to the aesthetic experimentations around body and desire in the artistic avant-garde and underground cinema. The masterclass stimulates obscenity’s political meaning in the history of cinema, from the pioneering nude scenes and kisses in the "cinema of attractions", through pornography in the early twentieth century (the stag films), and the encoded images of sex in experimental cinema. The main goal is to reveal the historical archive of this “first cinema" in transgressive porn films, questioning thoughts on eroticism, pornography, and obscenity.
