A junção de dois versos de poemas separados de Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen dá o mote para a exposição que o Mosteiro de Santa Clara-a-Velha acolhe, em Coimbra, aquando da comemoração dos 500 anos da beatificação daquela que nasceu princesa de Aragão e foi a sexta rainha de Portugal, por via matrimonial com o rei D. Dinis, a Rainha Santa Isabel. “Com teus gestos me vestiste, na nudez da minha vida” não só reúne trabalhos paradigmáticos dos vastos percursos artísticos de Maria Pedro Olaio e de Sofia de Medeiros como também põe a nu, à luz do agora visível, histórias, significados e gestos materializados em obras mais recentes.

The junction of two separate verses of a poem of Sophia de Mello Bryener Andresen sets the mood for the exhibition that the Monastery of Santa Clara-a-Velha welcomes in Coimbra, during the commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the beatification of the one that was born Princess of Aragon and was the sixth queen of Portugal, by marriage with the king D. Dinis, Queen Santa Isabel. “With your gestures you dressed me, in the nakedness of my life” not only brings together paradigmatic works from the vast artistic paths of Maria Pedro Olaio and Sofia de Medeiros but also lays bare, in the light of that that is now visible, stories, meanings and gestures embodied in more recent pieces.
