The RAWA Festival is a gathering that brings together different people and introspective artistic manifestations in nature. It searches for sensitive, subtle and personal expression of our integral being in parallel with the sharing of experiences and collective wisdom. Let's get together to show our restlessness and creative needs in direct relationship with the natural landscape, the inner look and social consciousness.

The RAWA Festival has three lines of expression and reflection:

1. Art and nature – the aesthetic sense of the Great Beauty. This ancient concept means to get away from superfluous interests to get the natural essence of our existence through the artistic manifestations and practices of self-knowledge.

2. Deep Ecology - Inner Consciousness. We believe that the universe is unified and interconnected. We recognize the intrinsic value of all life without regard to its  utility value to human beings.

3. Samaj - Move Together. Samaj is a concept the Sanskrit that means moving together with a common goal for the integral development of a community.

Therefore, during a full weekend we will share and enjoy different workshops and performances of dance, drama, music, visual arts along with meditation, yoga and kiirtan within a natural and ecological context.

WHERE:

The RAWA Festival will take place in the Ananda Kalyani Master Unit, a project in perfect harmony with the spirit of the festival by having a comprehensive philosophy about sustainable and integral living. It is located near the village of Paul, Covilhã, Portugal.

CONTRIBUTION:

Includes food (vegan vegetarian), accommodation (camping) and activities.

Organization:

The RAWA Festival is organized by RAWA-Portugal, Renaissance Artists and Writers Association. This is an international movement of contemporary artists, cultural promoters and lovers of the arts actively seeking the awakening and expansion of inner-individual and socio-collective consciousness through "artistic practice" and the artistic community practices.
