“Kaleidoscope” - the psychedelic night experience in Lisbon is back and it’s gonna spread all over Portugal. To celebrate the association with Reverence Festival Valada, where it will be hosting the night dj sets, Kaleidoscope will be hosting 3 parties in Coimbra, Lisboa and Porto, to take the Reverence Valada music and name on a psychedelic experience to you.
We propose to take you on a celebration of the Psychedelia culture through a trip of senses, colors and sounds, beginning in the 60s - with Syd Barrett, Love and Os Mutantes, blinking an eye to the far east sitar sounds – traveling through Spacemen 3 and Sonic Youth, and reaching the new ways of Psych Music, reborn with Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Temples, Black Angels, Moon Duo, Jacco Gardner or La Femme.
This time, our guest music shamans will be Mr. Rui Maia (The synth / keyboard / machine man, electronics wizard, from Mirror people and X-Wife, will sure make you travel from hypnotic shadows to sunny pop melodies) and Pedro Chau (member of The Parkinsons & Ghost Hunt, mystical voyager, master in psych gems, that will embrace you with his pulsating and far out grooves). They will be joined by your usual host Dj a boy named Sue (21st century rock'n'roll gipsy time-machine) and by the two-screen video projections of Lena Huracán (expert in the art of painting images like sound mirrors and voodoo drummer from Brazil).
