Em simultâneo, no âmbito do projeto CAVE, dedicado à obra de artistas emergentes, Pedro Henriques apresenta no mesmo espaço “Precise Parts”. Ambas as exposições, de acesso gratuito, podem ser visitadas até 24 de janeiro de 2016, de segunda a domingo, entre as 14:00 e as 18:00. SONG CYCLE · Nuno da Luz A construção meticulosa das gravações que compõem a série environments™, em nome da produção de efeitos psico-acústicos completamente subjectivos, põe em confronto a experiência auditiva do que nos rodeia com os desejos e intenções com que, inevitavelmente, a percepcionamos e é nesse desfasamento que esta instalação opera. Textos retirados das notas incluídas nos 11 álbuns publicados pela Syntonic Research, Inc., entre 1969 e 79, acompanham uma sequência de gravações de campo realizadas entre 2012 e este mesmo mês, que incluem a rebentação das ondas na costa Portuguesa, florestas na Alemanha, cursos de água glaciar na Islândia, tempestades no Novo México, o vulcão de Stromboli, cigarras na Sicília, e a nossa pulsação. Entre tempo real e som sintetizado, da artificialidade à reterritorialização da nossa experiência. Nuno da Luz (Lisboa, 1984) é um artista e publicador cujo trabalho cirscunscreve tanto o auditivo como o visual, na forma de eventos sonoros, instalações e material impresso; estes últimos na sua maioria distribuídos pela publicadora ATLAS Projectos (em conjunto com André Romão e Gonçalo Sena) e pela editora discográfica Palmario Recordings (em conjunto com Joana Escoval). Recentemente terminou o programa de mestrado Experimentação em Arte e Política SPEAP em Sciences Po, Paris e fundou o colectivo pluridisciplinar COYOTE, que investiga novas formas de comum-ificação (criar comunidade) via publicações, filmes, conferências e outros formatos experimentais. SONG CYCLE · Nuno da Luz The meticulous composition of the environments™ recordings, that vouch for psychoacoustic effects that are completely subjective, challenges the aural experience of what surrounds us, with the desires and intentions through which we inevitably perceive it. It's this phase shift that is explored within the installation. Texts taken from the liner notes included in each one of the 11 albums published by Syntonic Research, Inc., between 1969 and 79, accompany a sequence of fields recordings made between 2012 and this month, including the ocean surf in the Portuguese coast, forests in Germany, glacial water streams in Iceland, thunderstorms in New Mexico, Stromboli's vulcano, cicadae in Sicily, and our pulse. Between real time and synthesized sound, from artificiality to the reterritorialization of our experience.
