pt: Tudo na vida sabe melhor se partilhado. A Sétima Arte passa a vida a imiscuir-se nas outras artes. Um parceiro fiel, desde sempre, foi a música. Aquela que, para muitos, é a Primeira Arte, está na génese da secção Transmission. O poeta e dramaturgo William Shakespeare dizia: “se a música é o alimento do amor, ela que toque”. Já o lendário guitarrista Keith Richards, que vai estar em destaque este ano, conclui: "depois da comida, ar, água e calor, a música é a próxima necessidade da vida". Nós acrescentamos o cinema. Daí explorarmos as múltiplas relações entre a música e as imagens em movimento. Além de um documentário sobre o guitarrista dos Rolling Stones (Keith Richards: Under the Influence), olhamos com atenção o regresso dos Blur de Damon Albarn (Blur: New World Towers). Contudo, a vida não é só pop, cultura, sexo, drogas e rock and roll, é também o minimalismo sensorial de Phill Niblock! Transmission é também música ao vivo, com concertos (Projecto Oupa de André Tentugal, mentor dos We Trust, e Capicua), DJ SETS (Mads B. Mikkelsen, o programador do CPH: DOX), e a magnífica festa de encerramento do Porto/Post/Doc. O objetivo é fazer crescer o público que nos acompanha.
