Derivative TouchDesigner é uma linguagem de programação visual (flow based), resultado de um spinoff de developers do Houdini SideFX, desenhada para tirar partido do potencial realtime das placas gráficas actuais. Permite a rápida prototipagem de ideias relacionadas com imagem, som, movimento, computação física, lógica, comunicação, entre outras.
Este sistema apresenta várias soluções para trabalhar com media digital, e também um interface mais gráfico que facilita o processo de aprendizagem para os criativos sem experiência prévia em programação. TouchDesigner tem sido utilizado para criar trabalhos como Kinetic Lights / GRID, Bot & Dolly’s BOX, Dromos & OBE, Amon Tobin ISAM, entre outros.

Touchdesigner is a media platform for visual programming of generative 3d and 2d graphics, video mapping, interactive installations and for creating applications. Our course is designed to be relatively short to immerse the student in the maximum number of aspects of the platform, to give an idea of sustainable working with 3d graphics, sound processing and synchronization with music programs, and provide skills to create the user interface for their applications. The course is designed for media artists, vjs, interested in 3d graphics, and musicians who want to expand their visual performance show.
