Porto/Post/Doc: Film & Media Festival 2º Festival Internacional de Cinema // 2nd Internacional Film Festival pt: Há um ano atrás, o Porto/Post/Doc provou que era possível ter, no Porto, um festival de cinema de grande qualidade de programação, com um público interessado e uma reputação internacional. A primeira edição foi um grande sucesso, partilhado com o pulsar cultural da cidade e das suas novas audiências. Em 2015, seremos ainda melhores. Para isso, programámos uma seleção de filmes que mostrará o melhor do cinema documental contemporâneo do último ano. Pressentimos que essa qualidade é evidente a cada obra que selecionámos: o mundo à nossa volta muda a cada instante, e estes documentários são o sinal dessa mudança, que é tão terrível como admirável. Mais uma vez, a nossa competição será uma marca identitária, com filmes que desafiam as fronteiras pré-definidas entre ficção e documentário. São doze grandes obras. Mas este ano vamos ainda mais longe, com três focos específicos em três cineastas que transformaram o documentário, mesmo que em épocas diferentes. Entre Lionel Rogosin, Thom Andersen e Chantal Akerman há uma distância de décadas, mas em todos há um evidente empenhamento político: o documentário pode e deve servir para denunciar, mostrar ou preservar o movimento humano do mundo. Também para pensar o documentário, continuaremos o nosso Fórum do Real, que, durante um dia, discutirá o tema deste ano, “Documentar o Imaginário”, com diversos especialistas e criadores. For this, we have programmed a selection of films that will screen the best of contemporary documentary cinema from last year. We sense that this quality is evident in every work that we selected: the world around us changes every moment, and these documentaries are the sign of the change that is so terrible as admirable. Again, our competition will be our brand identity, with films that challenge the predefined borders between fiction and documentary. We have twelve major works. But this year we are going even further, with three specific focuses on three filmmakers who transformed the documentary, even if at different times. Among Lionel Rogosin, Thom Andersen and Chantal Akerman we have a distance of decades, but in all of them there is a clear political commitment: the documentary can and should serve to denounce, show or preserve the human movement in the world. Also to think the documentary, we continue our Forum of the Real, for one day, where we will discuss this year's theme, "Documenting the Imaginary", with many experts and creators.Porto/Post/Doc is also open to new trends of the new century.
