On June 6, Casa Palestina welcomes Joana Carvalhas, also known as The Tiny Musician, for a live performance shaped by movement, improvisation, and connection.
Originally from Portugal and currently performing across Europe, the UK, the US, and Asia, Joana’s work moves between jazz, folk, singer songwriter traditions, and experimental soundscapes without settling into a single genre. Through layered violin loops, voice, and subtle textures, her performances unfold with intimacy, spontaneity, and emotional clarity.
Her debut release, Indoor Thoughts (2023), reflects this fluid and multicultural approach, bringing together different musical influences into a sound that feels both personal and expansive.
Following her graduation from Berklee College of Music in Valencia in 2025, Joana is currently preparing her second album, with new releases expected throughout 2026.
At Casa Palestina, music becomes a way of gathering across languages, geographies, and shared presence.
