A 32ª edição do Jazz em Agosto decorre entre 31 Julho e 9 Agosto 2015 com uma série de concertos no anfiteatro ao ar livre da Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian. ------ The 32nd edition of Jazz em Agosto will take place between 31 July and 9 August, with a series of concerts in the outdoor auditorium of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. In 2015, Jazz em Agosto will be marked by the presence in Lisbon of large-scale orchestras, one of the characteristics with which it has been identified for three decades, along with the concept of jazz timelessness through the involvement of musicians revisiting past projects to reinvent them or highlighting, through new projects, the importance of their journey. This year’s edition also pays particular attention to saxophonist Mats Gustafsson, with two projects, the ambitious Fire! Orchestra – featured in the opening concert - and the surprising Swedish Azz. A special highlight to the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the AACM of Chicago, with the presence of Henry Threadgill and Wadada Leo Smith, both iconic musicians of this association.
