The Call for Works for the ISCM World New Music Days 2025 “Thirst for Change”, which will occur for the first time in Portugal between May 30 and June 7 next year, is open until April 25, 2024 (10:59 p.m., Lisbon time, Portugal).
The Call comprises 14 Categories, which range from the orchestra, string ensemble, percussion group, ensembles of different sets and dimensions, string quartet, trio, duos, and solo instruments, including the Portuguese guitar (all of them with or without electronics), to compositions for mixed choir, electroacoustic music, and audiovisual installations.
The Call’s International Jury includes the following composers, conductors and performers: Adrian Moore (United Kingdom), Ângela da Ponte (Portugal), Doina Rotaru (Romania), Flo Menezes (Brazil), Franz Martin Olbrisch (Germany), Gilles Gobeil (Canada), Guillaume Bourgogne (France), John McLachlan (Ireland), Lorraine Vaillancourt (Canada), Masataka Matsuo (Japan), Michal Rataj (Czech Republic), Miguel Azguime (Portugal), Peter Swinnen (Belgium), Petter Sundkvist (Sweden), Ramón Souto (Spain), Rozalie Hirs (the Netherlands), Rui Penha (Portugal) and Valerio Sannicandro (Italy).
