FEMME Sessions #70 | Maus Hábitos

PT_  No âmbito da rúbrica Cinema à Mesa, as Femme Sessions exibem, nas últimas quartas-feiras de cada mês, cinema feito por mulheres!
Dia 25 de Outubro, apresentamos três filmes que compõem a filmografia da realizadora e argumentista Tila Chitunda. Tila é filha de refugiados angolanos e investiga, através de uma série de documentários, a memória e a relação entre as identidades dos povos brasileiro e angolano.  Os seus filmes participaram em mais de 50 festivais no Brasil e exterior e receberam mais de 18 prémios.  
Vamos poder contar com a presença da realizadora e da Catarina Sales Oliveira para moderar a conversa no final da sessão. Catarina é Professora Auxiliar na Universidade da Beira Interior (UBI) e investigadora no CIES-IUL (Centro de Investigação e Estudos em Sociologia). Os seus interesses de investigação incluem género e cidadania; mobilidade, transportes e desigualdades; trabalho, empreendedorismo e organizações.

Sinopse: 
Dona Amélia é uma angolana refugiada de guerra que recomeçou a vida em Olinda, Nordeste do Brasil. A partir do seu mural de fotografias, a sua filha brasileira vai em busca de suas raízes, dividida entre as memórias da família e as manifestações de origem africana que ela encontra pelo caminho.

Sinopse: 
Em 1975, a declaração da independência de Angola iniciou uma longa Guerra Civil. 40 anos depois, Alice, a única filha brasileira de uma família angolana que encontrou refúgio no Brasil, decide ir pela primeira vez à Angola, atrás das histórias que motivaram os seus pais a lhe batizarem com esse nome.
“Alice” é a primeira curta da série “Nome de Batismo” e foi gravada em Angola nas províncias de Luanda, Bié e Lubango, em Novembro de 2015.

Sinopse: 
A realizadora mergulha no passado de seu pai ao conhecer a freira que ajudou a sua família a fugir da Guerra Civil que expulsou muitos angolanos das suas terras nos anos 1970. Eles vieram para Olinda, e, como homenagem, a primeira filha nascida no Brasil ganhou o nome dessa mulher. 

 

 
𝗕𝗜𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗙𝗜𝗔 𝗧𝗜𝗟𝗔 𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗧𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗔
Diretora e argumentista audiovisual em cinema e TV, é filha de refugiados angolanos e investiga, através de uma série de documentários, a memória e a relação entre as identidades dos povos brasileiro e angolano.  Os seus filmes participaram em mais de 50 festivais no Brasil e exterior e receberam mais de 18 prémios, entre eles o de melhor curta brasileiro no Festival É Tudo Verdade /It's All True de 2018. Vive entre o Brasil e a Suíça desde 2017, estando a coordenar a Pont.E - Mostra Temática de Curtas Brasileiros e Suíços, que acontece mensalmente em Lausanne na Suíça, e encontra-se a desenvolver o seu primeiro projeto em longametragem documentário, “Conexão Brasil-Montreux”, um filme que combina música e memória para oferecer uma reflexão original sobre a história sociopolítica do Brasil contemporâneo.

EN_  Under the heading Cinema at the table, the Femme Sessions screen, on the last Wednesday of each month, cinema made by women! 
On October 25th, we present three films that make up the filmography of the director and screenwriter Tila Chitunda. Tila is a daughter of Angolan refugees and investigates, through a series of documentaries, the memory and relationship between the identities of the Brazilian and Angolan people. Her films participated in more than 50 festivals in Brazil and abroad and received more than 18 awards. 
We will be able to count on the presence of the director and Catarina Sales Oliveira to moderate the conversation at the end of the session. Catarina is Assistant Professor at the University of Beira Interior (UBI) and a researcher at CIES-IUL (Center for Research and Studies in Sociology). Her research interests include gender and citizenship; mobility, transport and inequalities; work, entrepreneurship and organizations.

Synopsis: 
Amélia Chitunda is an Angolan war refugee who restarted life in Olinda, a coastal town in the Northeast of Brazil in 1976, at the age of 37 with 05 young children. Her home is adorned with an immense mural of dozens of photos that document her past. Using these photos as a point of departure the director, her youngest daughter, born in Brazil, explores her roots, her family’s beliefs and the traditional African folklore that she came to know as she was growing up in Brazil.

Synopsis: 
In 1975, Angola's declaration of independence began a long Civil War. 40 years later, Alice, the only Brazilian daughter of an Angolan family who found refuge in Brazil, decides to go to Angola for the first time, following the stories that motivated her parents to give her that name.
“Alice” is the first short in the “Baptism Name” serie and was recorded in Angola, in the provinces of Luanda, Bié and Lubango, in November 2015. 

 
> 𝗡𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗱𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗺𝗼: 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀

Synopsis: 
The director delves into her father's past when she meets the nun who helped her family escape the Civil War that expelled many Angolans from their lands in the 1970s. They came to Olinda, and, as a tribute, the first daughter born in Brazil received this woman's name. 

 

 
𝗕𝗜𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗣𝗛𝗬 𝗧𝗜𝗟𝗔 𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗧𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗔
Audiovisual director and screenwriter in cinema and TV, she is the daughter of Angolan refugees and investigates, through a series of documentaries, the memory and relationship between the identities of the Brazilian and Angolan people. Her films have participated in more than 50 festivals in Brazil and abroad and received more than 18 awards, including best Brazilian short at the "2018 É Tudo Verdade/It's All True Festival". She has lived between Brazil and Switzerland since 2017, being coordinating Pont.E - Thematic Exhibition of Brazilian and Swiss Short Films, which takes place monthly in Lausanne, Switzerland, and is currently developing its first full-length documentary project, “Conexão Brasil-Montreux”, a film that combines music and memory to offer an original reflection on the sociopolitical history of contemporary Brazil.
