The visiting SITES:

- Sintra: known for its breathtaking landscapes and built around the mountains, Sintra is so awesome that it is considered an UNESCO World Heritage Site!

- Palácio Nacional da Pena: the palace stands on the top of a hill above the town of Sintra, it is considered one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal and constitutes one of the major expressions of 19th century Romanticism in the world.

-Chalet of the Countess of Edla:The Chalet was built by King Ferdinand II and his second wife Elise Hensler, Countess of Edla, between 1864 and 1869, in keeping with the Alpine chalet model that was in vogue in Europe at the time.

- Quinta da Regaleira:  is one of the most surprising of all Sintra’s monuments. Located on the outskirts of the town, it was built 1904 e 1910, in the last days of the Portuguese monarchy.

Sobre os locais a visitar: 

- Parque e Palácio da Pena: implantados na serra de Sintra e fruto do génio criativo de D. Fernando II, são o expoente máximo do Romantismo do século XIX em Portugal, com referências arquitetónicas de influência manuelina e mourisca.

- Chalet da Condessa D'Edla: O chalé foi mandado construir por D. Fernado II e pela sua segunda esposa Elise Hensler, Condessa d’Edla, uma cantora de ópera suíço-americana, entre 1869 e 1875, num talhão do Parque da Pena. 

- A Quinta da Regaleira: constitui um dos mais surpreendentes monumentos da Serra de Sintra. Situada no termo do centro histórico da Vila, foi construída entre 1904 e 1910, no derradeiro período da monarquia.
