Isodea Festival

Isodea is a new festival which focuses on multisensory musical experiences, setting concerts in spaces and places whose atmospheres amplify the mood and method of the music, and heighten the communal experience. 
 
The festival is split up into two parts, changing the scenery and dynamic as day turns to night; and the restful sounds of sunny Saturday transform into the pulse raising patterns emerging at dusk.
 
The first half of Isodea 2022 will take place on top of a hill in the 15th century convent Madre Deus de Verderena in Barreiro, and the latter part will take place near the riverside in old town Barreiro, at the artist association ADAO, which housed in an old fire station.
 
In the convent, the different activities taking place will be in unison with the acoustics and atmosphere that this space provides. The rhythm will be relaxed and meditative, with experimental and electro-acoustic music, along with choral and contemporary dance performances.
 
At ADAO, the atmosphere will be different, as the tranquillity of the day is converted into a more lively dynamic, with prolific live performances  and extended dj sets featuring eclectic and transcendent sounds. 
 
The festival line up features all female headliners in the ADAO and 50% female and non-binary performers at the convent.

ISODEA é um novo festival de música e arte focado na oferta de experiências musicais multissensoriais, apresentando concertos em espaços que amplificam a sua qualidade sonora e estética e que enaltecem a experiência artística comunitária.
 
O festival será dividido em duas partes, atendendo que a sua dinâmica e cenário se alteram à medida que o dia se torna em noite e a leveza dos sons de uma tarde de calor gradualmente se expande em padrões de pulsação que emergem ao anoitecer.
 
No convento, as diferentes actividades a decorrer estarão em uníssono com a acústica e a atmosfera que este espaço proporciona. O ritmo será descontraído e meditativo, com música experimental e eletroacústica, juntamente com performances corais e de dança contemporânea. 
 
Na ADAO, a atmosfera será diferente, uma vez que a tranquilidade do dia será convertida numa dinâmica mais animada, com dj sets arrojados e com sons ecléticos e transcendentes.
