DUO VENTUM-CHORDAS [PT] O Duo Ventum-Chordas é composto pela flautista Irene Ribeiro e o guitarrista Miguel Matos, tendo sido fundado em 2014, quando ambos frequentavam a licenciatura em música na Universidade de Évora. Premiados em concursos a nível individual, frequentaram masterclasses e workshops com diversos instrumentistas de renome no panorama nacional e internacional. Desde a sua fundação apresentaram-se em palco em diversas localidades dentro do país, como Coimbra, Évora, Fátima, Alandroal, Borba, Vila Viçosa, Portalegre e Terena. Neste concerto apresentam um repertório com base em obras de compositores de referência, que têm como inspiração a música tradicional de países ibero-latinos. [EN] The Ventum-Chordas Duo is formed by the flutist Irene Ribeiro and the guitarist Miguel Matos, founded in 2014, when both graduationg in music at the University of Évora. Awarded in individual competitions, they attended masterclasses and workshops with several renowned musicians in the national and international panorama. Since the foundation, they have performed on stage in several localities within the country, such as Coimbra, Évora, Fátima, Alandroal, Borba, Vila Viçosa, Portalegre and Terena. In this concert, they present a repertoire based on works by renowned composers, inspired by the traditional music from several Ibero-Latin countries. _____________________________ VITOR BACALHAU & FAST EDDIE NELSON [PT] Nascido e criado no sul de Portugal, Vítor Bacalhau dedicou toda a sua vida à música. As suas influências são inúmeras e vêm de todos os lugares - desde os primeiros Blues do delta ao Rock 'n Roll! Nos últimos anos lançou um EP e dois álbuns, com grande aclamação por parte da imprensa, do público e dos seus pares. Fast Eddie Nelson é um bluesman pantanoso português com uma queda pela música bluegrass e pela aguardente ‘moonshine’. Nas últimas duas décadas e meia, produziu discos regularmente e tem tocado onde quer que a inspiração o leve. Lançou sete álbuns a solo e fez várias aparições no rádio e na TV. Juntos, eles são uma força imparável. Inspirando-se no espírito dos antigos Bluesmen, eles arrebatam o palco numa apresentação simples e direta que deixa que a música fale por si. [EN] Born and raised in the deep south of Portugal, Vítor Bacalhau has dedicated his whole life to playing music. Vítor’s influences come from everywhere - from the early Blues of the delta, to big and loud Rock ’n Roll! In the last few years Vítor has released an EP and two full length albums, to great critical acclaim, from the press, audiences and his music peers. Fast Eddie Nelson is a portuguese swamp-bluesman with a soft spot for bluegrass music and moonshine liquor. For the last two and a half decades he has produced records regularly and has been playing around wherever inspiration may take him. Has released seven solo albums and has multiple radio and tv appearances. Together they are a force to be reckoned with. Drawing on the spirit of the early Bluesmen, they take on the stage in a simple straightforward presentation that lets the music do the talking.
