Porcelain Workshop & Organic Brunch

AmaTerra Garden is waiting for You to come and make your own porcelain creations, personalized with paintings and textures with the artist´s advice.
You can make any kind of tiny objects, such as jewellery, animal figures, little faces, incense or candle holders, spoons, buttons… all is up to Your imagination! For the doubtful ones, we will provide some shapes and patterns to get inspired.
You will learn some interesting facts about porcelain history and various shaping and decorating techniques, among them Nerikomi - japanese contemporary marbling art technique. Be prepared to get addicted!

No experience is required and all materials are included in the workshop fee + your finished works will be bisque fired and glaze fired in our kiln.

During this relaxed and inspiring activity, you will be served home-made desserts, snacks, original AmaTerra coffee, tea and wine, wildrose drink or fresh juice, and share this afternoon with other people from all over the world, in our beautiful garden. Our brunch is suitable for vegans, people with gluten intolerance and lactose intolerance (to be specified before your visit)**
The hosts of this event are Tina Gandon and Celia Lostrego.
Celia is a jewish/lithuanian ceramic artist and chef, living in Porto for 6 years. She traveled to Iran, Turkey, Thailand, Cambodia to co-work and learn from the local ceramic artists and improve her technical knowledge and artistic perspective, as well as find some inspiration for her creative cuisine. Now she has her jewellery brand Lostrego (https://www.instagram.com/celia_lostrego/) and enjoys sharing her art with others, as well as cooking creative meals that you will have a chance to try!

Tina Gandon is a French/Portuguese ceramic artist, mostly working on sculpture and dishes, as well as developing glazes. She is graduated at Chef´s school in France and passionate about cuisine and coffee - she gathered knowledge about specialty coffee brewery during her travels in Australia and Indonesia, which inspired her to become a co-founder of "Amaterra Artisan Roastery" and You will have a chance to taste this specialty coffee!
