We are finally back with a new home! Our reopening storytelling night will be outdoors at Fábrica Braço de Prata.
Voices from around the world sharing in an open-mic storytelling format.
The theme for September is “HOT.” Interpret the theme freely. Give us the whole range: those unexpected, shameful, clumsy, hilarious, life-changing, butterflies-in-stomach (or somewhere else) stories. Maybe it is about the hot-headed boss that caused you to abandon your career for good. Or about running a marathon through the Sahara desert at high noon. Or about meeting the hot guy while sweating on the hot beach who then became your husband.
Please come just to listen or get on stage, be vulnerable, and share with us, a diverse group of welcoming and open people who are curious about each others' lives. Stories will last from 7 to 10 minutes. Expect anywhere from 8 to 10 stories plus an intermission.
Fábrica Braço de Prata is a magical centro cultural that hosts everything from salsa bands to intimate piano concerts to philosophical comedy. Storytelling will remain free as always, and as the venue is outdoors, we are able to accommodate everyone who wants to come comfortably and safely. Fábrica Braço de Prata also offers dinner outdoors. So come for dinner and a show or just for a beer and some tales. There is a concert scheduled after us so feel free to stay and enjoy the music.
