Morning Raaga Concert with Jason Kalidas ( UK) and Jorge Lozano (ES) Various Raags are used for all the different times of day and night, many morning Raags exist in the repertoire of Indian classical music but are less often heard in public. Rare chance to experience the tradition of a morning Raag concert. The music will be performed on Bansuri and Tabla and has highly improvised content. Jason Kalidas - Bansuri Jason Kalidas is a British/Irish musician based in Lagos, Portugal. He trained in Indian classical music since 1996. He learned Tabla for a decade in UK and Varanasi India among masters like Ishwal lal Misra and more. Jasons main instrument is Bansuri, he began studies on Bansuri and Raaga in Varanasi in 2004, he learned with Dr Shanish Kumar in Varanasi and Rajendra Prasanna in Delhi . He performs Indian classical music in Europe and India.Jason is also a composer for contemporary dance , live electronica and fusion artis Jorge Lozano- Tabla He studied Tabla and Pakhawaj in Varanasi with the masters Srikant Mishra and Issuar Lal Mishra. As well as the Carnatic rhythmb in Chennai with Vikku Vinayakram and Suresh Ghatam. He played with great exponents of the Indian music in the world as Pandit Ashok Patak Baluji Shivarastav, Sougata Roy Choudry, Subrata De, Rassil Paul, Mahdav P.
