Films by Palestinian Women: For a Free Palestine, com o apoio de Another Screen. Inspirada pela iniciativa que teve início na passada terça-feira no Porto, esta sessão acontecerá em Lisboa na próxima quinta-feira, dia 10 de Junho, na Valsa. Serão exibidas 5 curtas realizadas por mulheres palestinas, entre 1985 e 2019. Os filmes selecionados fazem parte do ciclo online que está disponível para visualização gratuita em https://www.another-screen.com/films-free-palestine-women, onde também poderão fazer donativos directamente. O bilhete custa 5€ e donativos livres poderão ser feitos a partir deste valor. Todo o lucro será entregue ao projecto Another Gaze / Another Screen, que reencaminhará as doações para facilitar a ajuda médica, jurídica e de infra-estruturas no terreno, assim como para apoiar a realização de filmes em Gaza, projectos de restauração de filmes palestinos antigos e centros culturais para refugiados nos territórios ocupados. Programa: Layaly Badr ‘The Road to Palestine’ (1985, 7’) الطريق الى فلسطين فيلم رسوم متحركة للأطفال. يتبع الفيلم فتاة صغيرة تدعى ليلى، والتي تلحظ بعض الطائرات في السماء بينما تمشط أمها شعرها. تنظر لأعلى في دهشة بينما تقول لأمها: "الطائرات تسقط بالونات!" ولكنها في واقع الأمر بالونات حارقة، في طريقها إلى إصابة الهدف. تم ترميم الفيلم بواسطة The Void Project. يعمل المشروع حاليًا بالتعاون مع مهرجان لندن للسينما الفلسطينية على ترميم أفلام لعدد من المخرجات أنتجتها منظمة التحرير الفلسطينية أثناء الفترة التي أطلق عليها "ثورة السينما الفلسطينية". An animated short film for children. The film is based on the testimony of the girl Laila, who saw some planes while her mother was combing her hair. She looked up at the sky and shouted to her mother, “the planes are sending balloons”. In actual fact, they were thermal balloons, falling directly to their target. 16 mm. O filme é baseado no testemunho de uma rapariga, de seu nome Laila, que avista uma série de aviões enquanto a sua mãe lhe penteia o cabelo. Laila olha para o céu e exclama “os aviões estão a largar balões!”. Na verdade, tratava-se de balões incendiários, prontos a cair sob os seus alvos. 16 mm. The Nation Estate project consists of a sci-fi short offering a clinically dystopian, yet humorous approach to the deadlock in the Middle East. Mahasen Nasser-Eldin ‘The Silent Protest: Jerusalem 1929’ (2019, 20') الإحتجاج الصامت المنتج/ة: ايميلي دودونيون يعود بنا الفيلم إلى تاريخ 26 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر عام 1929، أي إلى اليوم الذي احتشدت فيه حوالي 200 امرأة فلسطينية في مدينة القدس، قادمةً من المدن والبلدات والقرى الكبرى في فلسطين من أجل تدشين حركتهنَّ النَّسويّة. «ننحتُ الكلمات في الأرض» هو رحلة في مشهد مدينة القُدس، تتبع خُطى النسّاء الفلسطينيّات اللواتي تنقَّلنَ بين ما يمثّل اليوم الجانبَين الغربي والشَّرقي للمدينة، إحتجاجاً على الحُكم الاستعماري البريطاني. بناءاً على السَّرديّات والجماليات السابقة واللاحقة للنَّكبة، يظهِرُ الفيلم الممارسات المناصرة لحقوق المرأة في فلسطين والترابط بين تجارب السياسية الماضية والحالية للنساء الفلسطينيات On 26 October 1929, Palestinian women launched their women’s movement. Approximately 300 women converged on Jerusalem from all over Palestine. They held a silent demonstration through a car convoy to protest the British High Commissioner’s bias against Arabs in the Buraq uprising. This is their story on that day. Convergindo em Jerusalém, organizaram uma manifestação silenciosa como forma de protesto contra a parcialidade e descriminação do Alto Comissário britânico aquando da Revolta de Buraq. Shuruq Harb ‘The White Elephant’ (2018, 12’) الفيل الأبيض شروق حرب فنانة وصانعة أفلام ومدرّسة وكاتبة ومحررة وناشرة، تعيش وتعمل في رام الله. تركّز ممارستها الفنية على الثقافة البصرية عبر الإنترنت وتقفي طرق مغايرة لتدوير المعلومات والبضائع. حصل فيلمها "الفيل الأبيض" على جائزة أفضل فيلم قصير في مهرجان سينما الواقع بباريس عام ٢٠١٨، كما وصل إلى القائمة القصيرة لمهرجان هامبورغ الدولي للأفلام القصيرة عام ٢٠١٩. Using images shared on the Internet by Israeli soldiers during the Gulf War, the first Intifada or trance music gatherings, Shuruq Harb composes the portrait of a Palestinian teenager in the 1990s, in the mirror of Israeli pop culture. Rosalind Nashashibi ‘Electrical Gaza’ (2015, 17') كهرباء غزة في "كهرباء غزة" تدمج النشاشيبي مقاطع مصورة لغزة والمنسق المحلي والسائقين والمترجم الذين صاحبوها هناك مع مشاهد رسوم متحركة. تصوّر المخرجة غزة كمكان أسطوري، معزول ومعلّق في الزمن؛ مشحون بالمشاعر والتوترات ويصعب الوصول إليه In ‘Electrical Gaza’ Nashashibi combines her footage of Gaza, and the fixer, drivers and translator who accompanied her there, with animated scenes. She presents Gaza as a place from myth; isolated, suspended in time, difficult to access and highly charged. Em ‘Electrical Gaza’, Nashashibi intercala filmagens de Gaza, bem como dos motoristas, tradutor e mediador que a acompanharam na sua viagem, com animações computorizadas.
