The Half Dozen Collective will be premiering new works at Prisma starting Thursday, June 3rd. A mix of multi cultural Lisbonese artists, 6/12 present a eulogy of identity, defining a new self out of fragments bound together by the city, seeking to bridge gaps and craft a thread that unites individuals trying to forge their paths in the urban landscape.

The exhibition will review the collective's works so far as well as expose new pieces and give stage to performance art and live painting.

**Vernissage 3rd June - 5 pm *

Rita Grancho - @ritagrancho.artwork
A plastic artist born in Lisbon, uses her art to deconstruct bodies and faces by creating masks in search of other realities within her feminine universe. The strong lines and colors give energy to her work and characterize her own style. Her intuitive painting reviews and reveals emotions and experiences that pass through the body and mind, using it as a reflection of what she observes around her for the creation of her artistic objects. She is inspired by the constant relationship between themes of human and personal existence, where most of her works are defined as self-portrait and portrait of the world in which she lives or speculates to live. She intends to recreate experiences and moments of the interior and exterior space in physical and artistic space.

Mario Duarte - @mario_do_art
Mário Diogo Ribeiro Duarte is known as MD in his work. He is a young Portuguese artist, who loves to appreciate the little things in life. He attended secondary school at Escola Secundaria Artística António Arroio and the AR.CO professional course. He usually goes to the beautiful streets of Lisbon to show his work and meet new people. He recently discovered a new aspect in his life: tattoos.

Eric Hanu - @hanueric
Eric Hanu was born in Luanda in April 1991 having moved with his family to Lisbon in 1994. A true self-taught artist, Eric Hanu paints what he feels and sees – inner and outer worlds come to life on his canvases and drawings – usually with a central theme that in turn tends to identify human emotions and perspectives. After 10 years of traveling and intense experiences, Eric feels today the obligation to share with the world everything he has experienced using his natural talent to share in images how he sees the world and himself.

“In my paintings, the abstract predominates because I cannot see emotions as something concrete and figurative”.

sara -@saraelisabetefirmino
Sara Elisabete Firmino graduated in Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Lisbon in 2013, currently teaching at Cascais School Of Arts. Her artistic path seeks the use of the brush and oil paint, themes such as feminism, animal liberation, vivisection, which are critics of difficult appropriation: so she opts for this jocular and pop way - in short, a new look on figurative aesthetics, with cheerful and pastel colors, kitsch and surreal.

Tomé Pereira - @ tomepereira4
Tomé Pereira, 1993, Lisbon, plastic artist and filmmaker, had a short film on display at indielisboa under the name "O Braço do André"

Ylana Yaari - @Ylana_yaari
“You don't know the answer to things.
I am not satisfied with thoughts and ideas.
My concepts are multable.
It does not differentiate me from where I came from or who I am.
The people I carry on my back,
It's strength.
So portrait.
My expressions are feelings in color,
memories in strokes,
My own interpretation of life in characters.
I create
Instability remains constant
Manifest
I materialize "

Rita Grancho - @ritagrancho.artwork

Sara Elisabete Firmino -@saraelisabetefirmino

Ylana Yaari - @Ylana_yaari
Crio
A instabilidade se mantém constante
Manifesto
Materializo”
