Using Technology in the English Class

One of the biggest challenges for 21st Century educators is how to teach this new generation of students, who know more about technology than we do. It also has to do with the proliferation of new apps that can be used in the classroom, appearing every other month. In this workshop we are going to discuss about how to use technology in the classroom based on our teaching needs, and looking towards developing student’s talents, to prepare them for the various jobs that statistically, they are going to fulfill.



Catalina Cortés has worked with different grade and high school levels and has also coordinated English Departments in some Private Schools. Currently, most of her academic work is focused on two of her passions: teaching future ELT teachers and teaching with technology.  All of this is happening due to her teaching positions at Universidad Latina de Costa Rica and at CENFOTEC.
