Monstra 2016 - Lisboa Animated Film Festival

MONSTRA - Lisboa Animated Film Festival returns for another edition in Portugal, showing audiences the best animation being made from across the world.

Created in 2000 with the intention of celebrating artistic versatility, bringing people from different areas of the arts together and promoting new artistic visions, based on the multidisciplinary medium that is Animated Film, MONSTRA rapidly became a reference on the national scene.

This year 605 films are being shown, of which 238 are in competition for Feature Films, Short Films, Student Films, Supershorts, the Vasco Granja Award and MONSTRINHA, of which 200 are having their world, European or national premiere.

A vast selection for audiences which can also peruse the exhibitions, seven in total, 20 workshops and masterclasses from some of the world’s great masters in the art of animation, music and interactive media.
