(English version below) O AFRICA.CONT/CML e o Festival de Cinema Queer Lisboa, levam até à Cinemateca Portuguesa-Museu do Cinema, à Galeria Zé dos Bois, ao c.e.m - centro em movimento e ao Fontória Blues Caffee o ciclo «"Are you for real?" - Uma viagem Afrofuturista do Blaxploitation às Utopias Queer Visuais e Sonoras», com a apresentação de filmes, instalações, performances e um workshop de voguing. Será também apresentado um livro de Tim Stüttgen e entre os convidados internacionais destacam-se a performer Vaginal Davis. De 4 a 11 de julho, este ciclo, com curadoria de Pedro Marum e Ricke Merighi, pretende olhar, sob uma perspetiva queer, para o movimento cinematográfico blaxploitation e para a estética e filosofia afrofuturista, que teve no músico Sun Ra (1914-1993) um dos seus expoentes máximos, explorando questões ligadas à raça, género e sexualidade. There will also be a Tim Stüttgen's book presentation and between the international guests there will be Vaginal Davis. From the 4th to the 11th July this program, curated by Pedro Marum and Ricke Merighi, aims to shed a light on the blaxploitation movement and the afrofuturistic aesthetics and philosophy that had in the musician Sun Ra (1914-1993) one of its most vibrant voices, exploring issues related to race, gender and sexuality, under a queer perspective.
