Em PRESENSE, Rudolfo Quintas desenvolve o conceito de 'contexto sensível', explorando a relação entre corpo, sensação e presença, entre o espaço físico e o digital. A exposição apresenta os novos media digitais num território que cruza a arte com a tecnologia, a ciência e a filosofia. É produzida pela Artech-International, com o apoio da Universidade Aberta e do CIAC - Centro de Investigação em Arte e Comunicação da Universidade do Algarve, co-produzida por Tom Kirchhausen, professor de Biologia Celular na Harvard Medical School e Springer Family Chair no Boston Children’s Hospital (Boston, EUA), e co-financiada pela DGArtes, com curadoria de Verónica Metello. Rudolfo Quintas (Porto, 1980) cria, desde o final da década de 90, projetos multidisciplinares no âmbito das artes digitais. It is composed of interactive works such as audiovisual sculpture and installation, mobile applications and video mapping. In PRESENSE Rudolfo Quintas develops the concept of 'sensitive context', exploring the relationship between body, sensation and presence, between physical and digital space. This exhibition presents the new digital media in a territory that intersects art with technology, science and philosophy. It is produced by Artech-International, with the support of Universidade Aberta and of the CIAC - Centro de Investigação em Arte e Comunicação (Centre for Investigating Art and Communication) of Universidade do Algarve. It is co-produced by Tom Kirchhausen, Professor of Cell Biology at Harvard Medical School and Springer Family Chair at Boston Children’s Hospital (Boston, USA), co-financed by DGartes and curated by Verónica Metello. Rudolfo Quintas (Oporto, 1980-) creates multidisciplinary projects in the domain of digital art since the late 1990s.
