What are The Lazy Faithful?
Tommy (vox/guitar), João (vox/guitar), Rafa (vox/bass) and Gil (Drums) are The Lazy Faithful, a rock band from Porto, Portugal. Onstage they are a simple, no-nonsense, loud rock ‘n’ roll act.
Visually you can count on Tommy’s white towelling dressing gown, Gil’s cheetah boxer shorts and basketball vest, Rafa’s violent collisions with his bandmates and João’s eccentric strumming technique.
On record the band branch out into other areas of the rock spectrum. While featuring most of their raw live tracks, Easy Target (2014), their first long-player contains moments like the British psychedellia tinged “Frosted Glass”, the epic title track and even a venture into progressive skiffle in “House on the Black Sea”.
Previously the band self-released their first EP, Nothing Goes On, named after the crowd favourite title track. “Heartbeat”, another staple of the Lazy’s live set, is also present.
